Salvator Mundi is the Christ painting, Salvator is the Latin word which means savior. The painting shows that Christ is the savior of the world and wearing “https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renaissance”>renaissance dress. The painting shows right hand raised and two fingers extended upside, left hand holding a transparent crystal orbit which represents heaven. This painting was painted by Leonardo da Vinci in 1500 century for Louis of France. If we observe painting intimately feels like savior is looking to you and giving you some message. It is an oil painting on walnut, dimensions 45.4 cm × 65.6 cm (25.8 in × 19.2 in). The painting went to England in the second Italian war, kept safely in the Queen’s house and it was in England only with the royal family for about 150 years. It has disappeared in that time until it purchased by a British officer. The paintings have damaged due to the several restoration attempts; it was heavily overpainted so it was looking like a copied painting, not the original one.

Restoration: As we all know Salvator Mundi has painted in the 1500 century by da Vinci, and it has been traveled so long from family to family, so it gets damaged. At some point it needs restoration. The consortium thought that there was an excellent chance  that the low-quality mess would be a lost da Vinci masterpiece. The painting restoration work has been given to Dianne Dwyer Modestini at “https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_University”>New York University; Martin Kemp has also helped Dianne in restoring the painting. Kemp was an art historian who has painted both the thumbs best than the Dianne. Kemp has studied in depth about the Leonardo painting when he has seen the salvator mundi painting he has got that it is painted by the Leonardo da Vinci. After reviewing in deep, he has started doing the restoration process, and he has completed it with expertise and success. This painting has matched with the Mona Lisa painting, as both of these paintings have painted by Leonardo. This painting has been rediscovered and restored after such long travel and later kept it in an auction of Christie, the picture got purchased by the Saudi prince from the sale of New York.

The Salvator Mundi painting kept in an auction in 2017 by Christie; later it is purchased by the price of Saudi Arabia from the city of New York. This has been the most expensive painting of the world till now; it sold for $450million to the Saudi prince. The picture has been missing after September 2018, the exhibition was planned by the Louvre Abu Dhabi, but later it was postponed. Detailing of the restoration: in the painting, over cleaning has been done of the face and entire picture. The left eye is visible marks that Leonardo made to softening the flesh with the heel of his hand.
